Today's card... Morels!!

So today I worked on a card for some friends that went mushroom picking and decided to share a bit of their stash with us! It was my first experience with Morel mushrooms. When I got them out of their paper wrapping, my first thought was.. WOW.. these things are UGLY!! I sure hope they taste better than they look. THEY DO!! They were delicious! As instructed, I washed them, dried them, cut them in half, dipped in egg and then in Bisquick then fried them in butter and canola oil. MMMMMM... really good. I would love to have more to experiment with. Now I know why they are called MOREls.. Cause they leave you wanting MORE!! lol.. My card is made using Bugaboo digital stamps (see page for link). They are my new favorite thing. I found the Morel image somewhere online (google images..morel mushrooms). Used mostly chalks and some gel pens and markers to color in. When we scanned this it lost a bit of the color. The little snail on the front is more of a pink than a red and his shell is a sparkly purple (lavender stickles!). Enjoy! Leave me a note to let me know you were here!!

I LOVE these stamps. They are so cute, and they are cut out (with not background). This makes them super easy to work with!! PLEASE check them out!!

A card I made for my sis..

Me and my sister have card swaps each month. I keep forgetting to take a picture of mine. I hope someday she will have pity on me and send me pics. Anyway... here is one I did take a picture of. The theme was winter. It was my first time making this type of card.

Time to post a few more cards...

This was an anniversary card for a friend's parents. Sorry about the picture quality. Working on it!! (Any ideas.. please post me a comment!). I know its hard to see, but the inside quote says "love is friendship set to music". The love bird image I found for free online (not sure where at the moment! sorry). The feathers on the front are real. The sheet music is from Sing Praises to Jehovah (now out of print) song: Marriage - God's arrangement. I crinkled it and aged it with distress ink. I used heart shaped brads inside and out. It was great fun!!
