Carried away with freebies!

So, I needed a saying for my calendar page that me and my sister exchange each month. I just panicked and realized it was almost April and I better get moving on it!  I decided to go with April Showers.  Not sure what else..but it's a start. I got making some "April Shower" sayings and was having so much fun I ended up with a bunch.  Take what you like and enjoy!!

CDAC Progressive Challenge 14 PUPPY LOVE!

It's that time again for a card to enter into Crafter's Digital Art Center's Progressive Challenge.  This time I chose to use the image by Shelly's Images.  I thought it was a cool basket to carry a pile of puppies in!  Who wouldn't love a basket full of puppy love??  I am not sure where I got the puppy image. It must have been back when I was forgetting to keep track of the artist (a newbie mistake I dearly regret).  I spent awhile today searching for the image, but none to be found. Does anyone know?  It was such a sweet image.  I am struggling with the idea of maybe adding some daisies to the basket too.  Not sure.  But for now it is staying as just a basket of pups.  There were some other really cool images I want to try to use before the deadline, but not sure if I will get there. For now..enjoy the sweetness!! And won't you come join us for the next challenge??? OH!  Almost forgot.. THANKS to Paulette over at Create with TLC for the great sentiment.  They sure are Doggone Cute!!

CDAC Progressive Challenge #13 and Crafter's Cafe Blog Challenge

It's that time again!  Time for Challenge #13!  SPRING IS COMING!  That's the challenge theme and BOY is it here!  We have close to 80 degrees today!!  Wow  - is it hot fast!  But it's wonderful. I love it!  And I loved the images we got for this challenge. SO SWEET!  I chose GlitterBabe's 'Just A Flower'.  I love it!  I used flocking on the center of my Echinacea flower and after chalking the petals used 2 layers of kalidescope embossing powder.  The flower and the bees are popped off the page.  The bee's have glitter wings.  The saying is "Sending happy thoughts to brighten your day".  I used a wire ribbon and the background is the same image very itty bitty and repeated.  Trust me, it looks much better in real life!  This was a great challenge. Won't you come join us for the next challenge at Crafter's Digital Art Center?  I hope you will!
I am also entering this into The Crafter's Cafe Blog Challenge where the theme for this month is ribbon and/or lace.  Let me know you were here!  ENJOY YOUR DAY!!
