Hokey Pokey!

I just love this image from Just Inklined provide free for those of us playing along with the Progressive Challenge #10 at Crafter's Digital Art Center.  This is a fun challenge that gives you free images as long as you play along and enter at least one card into the challenge. I love it. It really challenges you.  This image was a challenge for me to find the right saying to go along with it. Love the Hokey Pokey saying.  Seems to fit just right.  As some one said - It looks like they are really thinking about it.  Hehehehe.. What fun!  I went pretty simple on the card. Wanted to feature the image with not too much background noise. Thought the circle paper added a bit of psychadelic-ness to the card!  Enjoy and come play along!!

CDAC Progressive Challenge 9 and Pringles!

Here is my card for Crafter's Digital Art Center's Progressive Challenge Number 9.  The image I chose to use is the snow globe from Crafty Ann's.  Isn't it cool?  I have always wanted to try a snow globe and now I had a good reason to do it! (why I LOVE LOVE LOVE Challenges!!).  I used some wrapping paper with snowflakes on it for the base of the snowglobe and for the background of the calendar.  I also used it to cut out my 'snowflakes' - which is really a flower punch (shhhhhh.. don't tell anyone!).  I was stumped as to how to make the globe look globe-like so I could fill it with glitter and tiny itty bitty beads and more glitter!  My smart, dear, wonderful always inventive husband came up with the idea of using a Pringles can lid!!!  WHO WOULDA THOUGHT?? Not me for sure. SO I resized my globe to fit the lid (good ole Printmaster can't be beat for that stuff!).  And once I had my image done, I carefully poured the snow globe contents in and then glued the lid to the globe VERY CAREFULLY!  (I love Glossy Accents for stuff like that!).  And here we are... a SNOW GLOBE TO BE PROUD OF!!  The images are just things I had in my stash - if you need more detail I can try to find out for you!
Oh and the calendar idea I got from My Favorite Things.  She sent a newsletter with a freebie calendar template. Last year, my sister and I did card swaps. We would take turns picking a theme and then make a card and mail it to each other. This year we are making calendar pages for each other.  Mine is ready to be sent!!  Hope you enjoyed this.  Come back again!!
