October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

It is so important to have regular mammograms and do your own personal self exam on a regular basis. It is the best way to prevent Breast Cancer. To remind all of my friends and followers I made a card for Breast Cancer Awareness. I used an image from GuyLou. This is her "Leah" image. I made the background from a freebie from Beccy's Place. The hope, love and support words also come from her. The trees with the breast cancer pink ribbons come from A Day For Daisies (also freebies on their site). Most of the coloring is done with chalks or Glaze Pens. The other embellishments are from my personal stash. I hope you enjoy the card!

I am entering this card into the "Link up for Pink" challenge! Please join me and play along. You can even send your card to a hospital to be included in someone's care package that has just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Click the link below to find out more details at JustYolie's blog.

I also got invited to be a Guest Designer on Guylou's blog this month. I would love for you to come play along with us. Here is the information for that and a message from Guylou:

Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge

October is Breast Cancer Awareness. Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women and the second leading cause of death. Your best weapon against breast cancer is EARLY DETECTION through two common methods of breast screening: breast examination (self and clinical) and screening mammography. Your health is important; you are important. Take good care of yourself.

Guylou designed a new image in honor of the Breast Cancer Awareness program and for reaching over 250 followers on this blog. Gabrielle and ribbon is available for free between October 7th and 14th at Guylou's Online Store. Please use the code BCA-GABRIELLE at check out to get her free.

And now to the details of our challenge:

Challenge:

This week, Sara is challenging us to make a project which must be mostly in pink and must have a pink ribbon visible on it.

Deadline:

You have until 10:00pm on October 20th to link your project to the InLinkz on Guylou's blog. Please make sure your project matches the requirements before you link it. One entry per participant.

Prize:

Guylou is offering a $5.00 gift certificate from her online store. You can enter only one project, but if you use a Guylou's Inimitability digistamp, your project will count for two entries. If you don't have one of her digistamps and your budget is tight; please check her online store where several freebies are available or you can use the digistamp offered above.

You will have until October 20th, 10:00 pm EST to enter your cards or projects here. One entry per participant, please. Be sure to add the link to your entry and not your whole blog as this makes it much easier on the team to find your creations. Thanks for participating!
