Yah! It continues!! CDAC #7

The challenge goes on. I am so glad! It has been fun and some months TRULY a challenge. I was SO pleased with all of the images for this round. Come on over and check them out at the Crafters Digital Art Center!!
The image I chose for this round was from Tiffany Doodles.
She has some really great images and I was so glad that she gave us this little crab to work with. I was totally unsure about what direction I was going until I remembered the image a purchased from Mo Manning recently. I love this little beach gal and she really needed a pal! The crab worked perfectly. I put REAL sand in her bucket and by her feet. She is mostly colored in with chalks and some markers from the Martha Stewart collection. I want to give a BIG shout out to all those who chose and contributed the images for this round. I know most people DO celebrate the holidays. However, there are some of us who do not and I was thrilled to have images to choose from that were NOT holiday themed. I hope this continues to be the case for the rest of the challenges. What fun!!

The Final CDAC Challenge.. #6

Wow..its so sad. It's over! But it has been a lot of fun. A challenge getting projects done.. but I did it! It was a good challenge for me though. I loved it. I hope you were able to play along! I loved this bear image! It is from Designed2Delight. I thought he had the sweetest look. I made the background image from chalks and a rubber stamp with pine trees on it. I then used spray glue and attached a dryer sheet to the background and added InkXpressions pastel blue stamping glitter and rubbed it into the dryer sheet. If you have never done this I HIGHLY recommend trying it. It gives a WONDERFUL snowy effect. You will have to use really good adhesive to get the image to stick on top of the dryer sheet. I used sticky dots - but will need to reinforce with Glossy accents. My snowflakes are actually a dollar punch from Michaels that is a flower. I just glittered them and hoped for the best!! This was great fun and although everything around my house is glittery right now (including my husband..hehe).. It was worth it!! Enjoy and come visit the CDAC Progressive Challenge site to see some more wonderful creations!!

CDAC Progressive Challenge 5!

Wow! Can you believe we are already into and pretty much done with challenge 5 at Crafters Digital Art Center? You still have time to come join in for the final challenge! Don't miss out on the great images! This has been a tough one since I have been pretty sick for the last 2 weeks. UGH... viruses are no fun. But making this card sure was! I just LOVE the cookie image by DigiDrawn. Isn't it adorable? I decided to make the background using the image so my little gal was surrounded by cookies! And who doesn't love a Coffee Break?? I thought this was a real neat image too! It is by Beyond The Fringe. Enjoy the card!!

Progressive Challenge 4!

This challenge image is from Jamie Moore. It is the little brown cat behind the pumpkin on the left side. I love his little face and how he is peeking from behind the pumpkin. I thought he really needed a bunch of kitty friends to keep him company. This is for the 4th Progressive Challenge at Crafter's Digital Art Center. It's great fun and a chance to win Copic Markers if you play along!! Come join us! You also get free images! Come by and find out how. We'd love to have you!!!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

It is so important to have regular mammograms and do your own personal self exam on a regular basis. It is the best way to prevent Breast Cancer. To remind all of my friends and followers I made a card for Breast Cancer Awareness. I used an image from GuyLou. This is her "Leah" image. I made the background from a freebie from Beccy's Place. The hope, love and support words also come from her. The trees with the breast cancer pink ribbons come from A Day For Daisies (also freebies on their site). Most of the coloring is done with chalks or Glaze Pens. The other embellishments are from my personal stash. I hope you enjoy the card!

I am entering this card into the "Link up for Pink" challenge! Please join me and play along. You can even send your card to a hospital to be included in someone's care package that has just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Click the link below to find out more details at JustYolie's blog.

I also got invited to be a Guest Designer on Guylou's blog this month. I would love for you to come play along with us. Here is the information for that and a message from Guylou:

Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge

October is Breast Cancer Awareness. Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women and the second leading cause of death. Your best weapon against breast cancer is EARLY DETECTION through two common methods of breast screening: breast examination (self and clinical) and screening mammography. Your health is important; you are important. Take good care of yourself.

Guylou designed a new image in honor of the Breast Cancer Awareness program and for reaching over 250 followers on this blog. Gabrielle and ribbon is available for free between October 7th and 14th at Guylou's Online Store. Please use the code BCA-GABRIELLE at check out to get her free.
