The Outlawz Challenge

Hi all!  Wanted to post my card for the current challenge going on at The Outlawz.  This is a great, fun group to belong to. Everyone is so much fun and encouraging.. AND you get free images to work with like the dragonfly above.  Now, who wouldn't want that??  Sandy Hugget created this image.  I fell in love the minute I saw it.  The background paper is a repeat of the little flower on his wing.  I freehand cropped it to create the paper then crumpled it for a distressed look.  I used shimmer embossing powder on the dragonfly.  This is one of my favorite cards so far and I am sure I will use this digi over and over.  Thanks for stopping by!! It's CDAC time again!

So sorry I haven't been on here much lately. Spent the weekend in the hospital with hubby.  Having chest pains, but they are sure its not his heart (he has a congenital heart condition anyway). VERY SCARY! I am pretty sure it is due to some meds he was on (antibiotic/antifungal) that have also messed with his blood sugar (he is not diabetic).  Anyway - we are changing his diet and trying to fix the problem.   I didn't think I was going to get this card done on time..but here it is.  It was a simple and fun card. The image is by Wax Fruit Company.  Isn't it wonderful?  There were a lot of fun ones this time. Carried away with freebies!

So, I needed a saying for my calendar page that me and my sister exchange each month. I just panicked and realized it was almost April and I better get moving on it!  I decided to go with April Showers.  Not sure what else..but it's a start. I got making some "April Shower" sayings and was having so much fun I ended up with a bunch.  Take what you like and enjoy!!
