Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow. It empties today of its strength. - Corrie Ten Boom, author and human rights activist

I was thinking how true this statement is. I worry about everything all the time. It's no way to live. I have actually gotten better since Chad and I have gotten married. Well, maybe better in some ways and worse in others. Chad has helped me not to worry so much about what will happen tomorrow and just enjoy where you are today. However, I have gotten worse about worrying about him and what will/could/might happen. Of course, it doesn't help when we see a certain doc of his and he tells us every time we are in there.. "ya know, you could drop dead at any time!" Yeah, somehow, that weighs on your mind over time. I do work on it. I had a bad time the other day. Chad had a migraine and slept for over 3 hours. I began to get anxious and wonder if he would ever wake up. I had myself so worked up and also in a frenzy over losing the cat (she was gone longer than he was sleeping and we couldn't find her.. she ended up getting locked in the basement when I did laundry..lol!). I was soooooo exhausted later that night that I went to bed early and felt like I had wasted my day.
They say that 90% of things you worry about don't ever really happen. WOW.. that is a big number. So, here we are all worrying about what if's ... and getting exhausted ... and wasting our days.. and these things never come about. Hmm.. sounds like a big waste of energy to me. And I think it is a distraction of Satan also. After all, the bible warns us to no worry about tomorrow..for it has enough of it's own troubles. But, being imperfect, some of us, I fear, will always suffer with this. But let's all make it our determination to not worry so much. Let's work on worrying about today and its problems and get them settled before we move on to tomorrows. After all, we can prepare, but we cannot prevent. We must leave that up to Jehovah God. So, let's prepare to handle what we have to and not worry about what we cannot change. You with me????

I'm starting to think that we're from the same family! Maybe that's why we're good friends. :)
