Open House at the Crafter's Cafe!
It's open house at the Crafter's Cafe and Jellypark has invited us to do a Thank You Challenge. Even providing us with this sweet little image!! I just LOVE her! Couldn't wait to make a card. Also used a dog from Penny Black. The fence stamp is one I have had for many years. And the "thank u" is a sticker set I have in my stash! Enjoy!

CDAC Progressive Challenge 8
This was a really fun challenge and I was hoping to do a lot more with all the cute images that were provided! I had some big plans, but time got away from me this month for some reason! So, here I am scrambling to get this done on time..ugh! But I do love the image I was able to use. It is from McMahon Five Designs. Thought it would make a cute anniversary card - so I flipped the image and made two! I colored it with glitter gel pens. Love the glow it gave! Used Glaze Pens for a little dimension on the bubbles. And a bit of glam in the corner. What fun! Come join us at Crafter's Digital Art Center and play along!

Yah! It continues!! CDAC #7
The challenge goes on. I am so glad! It has been fun and some months TRULY a challenge. I was SO pleased with all of the images for this round. Come on over and check them out at the Crafters Digital Art Center!!
The image I chose for this round was from Tiffany Doodles.
She has some really great images and I was so glad that she gave us this little crab to work with. I was totally unsure about what direction I was going until I remembered the image a purchased from Mo Manning recently. I love this little beach gal and she really needed a pal! The crab worked perfectly. I put REAL sand in her bucket and by her feet. She is mostly colored in with chalks and some markers from the Martha Stewart collection. I want to give a BIG shout out to all those who chose and contributed the images for this round. I know most people DO celebrate the holidays. However, there are some of us who do not and I was thrilled to have images to choose from that were NOT holiday themed. I hope this continues to be the case for the rest of the challenges. What fun!!

The Final CDAC Challenge.. #6
Wow..its so sad. It's over! But it has been a lot of fun. A challenge getting projects done.. but I did it! It was a good challenge for me though. I loved it. I hope you were able to play along! I loved this bear image! It is from Designed2Delight. I thought he had the sweetest look. I made the background image from chalks and a rubber stamp with pine trees on it. I then used spray glue and attached a dryer sheet to the background and added InkXpressions pastel blue stamping glitter and rubbed it into the dryer sheet. If you have never done this I HIGHLY recommend trying it. It gives a WONDERFUL snowy effect. You will have to use really good adhesive to get the image to stick on top of the dryer sheet. I used sticky dots - but will need to reinforce with Glossy accents. My snowflakes are actually a dollar punch from Michaels that is a flower. I just glittered them and hoped for the best!! This was great fun and although everything around my house is glittery right now (including my husband..hehe).. It was worth it!! Enjoy and come visit the CDAC Progressive Challenge site to see some more wonderful creations!!

CDAC Progressive Challenge 5!
Wow! Can you believe we are already into and pretty much done with challenge 5 at Crafters Digital Art Center? You still have time to come join in for the final challenge! Don't miss out on the great images! This has been a tough one since I have been pretty sick for the last 2 weeks. UGH... viruses are no fun. But making this card sure was! I just LOVE the cookie image by DigiDrawn. Isn't it adorable? I decided to make the background using the image so my little gal was surrounded by cookies! And who doesn't love a Coffee Break?? I thought this was a real neat image too! It is by Beyond The Fringe. Enjoy the card!!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
It is so important to have regular mammograms and do your own personal self exam on a regular basis. It is the best way to prevent Breast Cancer. To remind all of my friends and followers I made a card for Breast Cancer Awareness. I used an image from GuyLou. This is her "Leah" image. I made the background from a freebie from Beccy's Place. The hope, love and support words also come from her. The trees with the breast cancer pink ribbons come from A Day For Daisies (also freebies on their site). Most of the coloring is done with chalks or Glaze Pens. The other embellishments are from my personal stash. I hope you enjoy the card!
I am entering this card into the "Link up for Pink" challenge! Please join me and play along. You can even send your card to a hospital to be included in someone's care package that has just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Click the link below to find out more details at JustYolie's blog.
I also got invited to be a Guest Designer on Guylou's blog this month. I would love for you to come play along with us. Here is the information for that and a message from Guylou:

It's CDAC Progressive Challenge #3!!
This was great fun. I loved the images and had a really hard time deciding which one to use. I really fell in love with the sunflower image from JustInklined. I made two copies and double layered the sunflower, the leaves and the butterfly. Used Chalk on most of it, also some Glaze Pens and of course, its not complete without glitter. Also added some daisy punches in different shades of yellow and "A happy Hello" stamp. I thoroughly enjoyed this challenge and hope you come play along. You can join us here! We'd love to have you. Enjoy the cards and let me know you stopped by!

Guylou's Inimitability Challenge STARS!!!
Hi everyone. Here is my entry for Guylou's challenge. The rules are it must be a thank you card and one with stars! It was a fun challenge and so many cute images to choose from at Guylou's store! Take a hop over and check them out. I loved this little gal with her dog. So sweet. You've got until September 29th to join us. Come play along. You can find out more details here and here. I promise you its a ton of fun!!
For my image I used Guylou's Olivia digistamp (she's free!!). I used paper from my stash with a turquoise background and purple stars and swirls. I also used a metal embellishment that says "fun". I cut the star out of dark purple paper and popped up Olivia to make her look like she is sitting on the star. Sorry my picture taking is horrible. They saying is from some clear stamps I have from Michael's craft store. It was a bit plain until I jazzed it up with Stardust Stickles. FUN FUN FUN!! Enjoy...

Part Two of the CDAC Progressive Challenge
This is the second challenge. I used the image from Jensdigistamps. Isn't he just adorable. I made him into a female version for the second bookmark. I just kept seeing a big ole bow on his/her head..hehe...If you can't see the sayings very well (sorry about the quality) it says: "A book is like a garden carried in the pocket" and "outside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Inside of a dog, its too dark to read." I added embroidery floss with beads to the ends. What fun!! Come and join us for some more fun times!!! June Card!
This is my latest creation for me and my sister's card swap. She picked the subject of a scripture. Our cards could be based on any scripture in the Bible. I went with an ocean themed one. The picture came from a brochure that we got last year at our District Convention all about creation. It is a beautiful and informative brochure and has inspired a lot of creative ideas too!! Enjoy!

Making an image into a card..
Just quickly posting how I made this image of my niece, Hayley, into a card. I first changed the image into black and white. Then I used a program I have to change it to a coloring book image. Sometimes you have to manipulate it a bit to get it to work right (mostly lighten it). I then cropped and added some wild animal images to it in place of her dog, Miley. (Trust me.. she was NOT happy about that!!). I wanted to "place" her in the new world that Jehovah God promises us. I added the scripture and printed it out. Here is the resulting image and the card I made for my family with it. It was a really fun process and I have learned much more about doing it since then. I hope to make many more in the future. Enjoy!!

Pollycraft's Design Team?
So, Pollycraft is looking for some new members for their DT. I have never done anything like this before...but I would LOVE to! Especially after seeing this absolutely adorable little bird! I am quite proud of my card. I know it is probably not up to level with some of the other entries. However, what I like about it is that I made it look special EVEN without Copic Markers! ( I would LOVE some copics..but could never afford them!) I think it is important to show cards NOT made with Copics but made with things that are readily available to all. I love my little birdie!! I hope she can brighten someone's day! And I hope Pollycraft will take a second look!!
Details:
Image is from pollycraftdesigns.blogspot.com
Flowers are from Spare Parts (by Paper Studio purchased at Hobby Lobby)
Colors are Martha Stewart Markers and Glaze Pens (which I adore!!)
Of course I included some Star Dust Stickles (on the sentiment edges), Snow crystal glitter on the flower petals and on the center of the flower (sorry its not easier to see) some Recollections microbeads held on with the awesome Glossy Accents (if you have NOT tried this..please do.. you won't be sorry!!)
The rest is just stuff I have randomly collected here and there!
